Welcome!  We appreciate your interest in the College of Business at Oregon State University.

Ilene Kleinsorge

If you are a prospective or current student, my best advice to you is to get involved!  Join clubs.  Get to know your professors.  Network with alumni.  Go on an international exchange. Getting involved beyond the classroom will open new doors for you and the sky will truly be the limit of your potential success.  When I talk to recent graduates employed at places like Boeing, Freightliner, Gallo, Frito-Lay, KPMG and others, they all say that getting involved was a key element of their success!

If you are an alumnus or business partner of the college, thank you for making a difference.  Every year we have hundreds of alumni come back to speak in classes, participate in career days, review resumes, serve on advisory councils, partner with our MBA teams and much more.  As I visit with alumni in my travels, I am continually impressed by their achievements and the key roles that many have in shaping our economy.

With our 100 year anniversary of the College of Business approaching in 2008, we're not thinking back..only ahead at what we have yet to accomplish.  Our intent is to deliver innovative, experiential business education to Oregon's critical industry sectors, produce high-quality, relevant research, and ensure that all students graduate fully prepared for successful professional careers.  Building on the success of our Austin Entrepreneurship Program -- the largest residential program of its kind in the world -- we are increasing our focus on entrepreneurship and innovation throughout the college and building a leadership position in bringing innovative ideas to market.  We also plan to expand the scope of our nationally recognized Austin Family Business Program to address the unique needs of the family-run businesses that comprise the majority of Oregon's economy.

We are essentially transforming the OSU College of Business to meet the changing demands of a global economy.  It's an exciting time to be a part of this program.  Join us!
