Larson's Project Management Class Rocked Corvallis, Benefited Charity
by Jennifer Kroll
Erik Larson, known at the COB for his bold teaching techniques, turned his Project Management students loose in the "real world" to see what they could do.
After learning the ins and outs of planning, scheduling, organizing and managing time-lines, fourteen students collaborated to produce a successful concert event called Rockin' November.
Ten local bands performed for free and businesses donated cash, food, and even a complete beer garden. Attendance exceeded 500.
This concert, along with other class projects, earned over $9,000 for the charity Operation Smile. |
