A Friend Passes Away Phil Schary, College of Business emeritus faculty member, passed away on Thursday, April 5th, after a battle with cancer.
Schary taught marketing and business logistics for 27 years.
Since retirement in the mid 1990's, he has developed a continuing interest in supply chain management.
One result was two successive editions of a book, Managing the Global Supply Chain, co-authored with Professor Tage Skjott-Larsen of Copenhagen Business School.
The book, published by Copenhagen Business School Press, has been reprinted in India and translated into Polish.
Schary was a strong advocate for open spaces and worked with the Greenbelt Land Trust and the City of Corvallis's Open Space Commission. He was an accomplished photographer. Phil Schary, 1930-2007. |
