 | | | | The Hotchkiss Company Wins National Family Business AwardFor the third year in a row, a winner of the Austin Family Business awards program has been named the National Family Business of the Year. The Hotchkiss Company, Inc., from Burns, Ore., is the 2003 national winner in the small business category (less than 50 employees).
The Hotchkiss Company is preceded in their victory by Henningsen Cold Storage Co., Hillsboro, Ore., 2002 national winner in the medium category (50-250 employees); Teeny Foods, Corp., Portland Ore. 2002 first runner-up in the small category; and Neilsen Manufacturing, Inc., Salem, Ore., 2001 national category winner in the medium category.
The Austin Family Business Program awards originated in 1988. The national awards program, which was started in 1994 by MassMutual Life Insurance, is modeled after the AFBP program. The national record for the greatest number of category winners is held by the Austin Family Business Program. |
