C2C is a great opportunity for students to get involved and create a better understanding about how marketing research really works!By joining the C2C office, students are able to work one-on-one with faculty and with other students from all different majors! At the C2C office, students help not only with running the office but also with major projects. Our research teams are led by marketing faculty and research professionals who mentor student researchers. Students are able to create and administer surveys, record data, and then submit their suggestions.

Employers look for students who have experience and C2C is the best way to gain it!

Get Involved:

On-Call Student Researcher:

Are you interested in making a little extra cash while gaining experience in market research? Then sign up to be on the C2C Project's On-Call Student Researcher list. When projects come up, we'll match students with projects relevant to their skills and interests. Graduate students and undergraduates with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences (business, marketing, social research, engineering, media productions, anthropology, sociology, etc.) are welcome to apply.


C2C Internshipfor 08-09 Academic school year:

The C2C Intern will assist with project management and oversight, conduct research, and provide general office support. A variety of skills are needed and students with various backgrounds including design, research, marketing, entrepreneurship and engineering are encouraged to apply.

Student will work 5-10 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible and may fluctuate depending on the demands of clients and project work load. Position begins fall term 2006 and goes through the end of the academic year. A $1,000 stipend will be awarded to the successful candidate. This internship is funded through a gift from Target stores.

Primary Duties:

  • Oversee marketing research projects
  • Conduct primary research (Ex: facilitate focus groups, conduct in-depth interviews, create and distribute surveys)
  • Conduct secondary data research
  • Organize databases and spreadsheets
  • Office management
  • Assist in developing and writing reports for clients

Position Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior standing in the College of Business at OSU
  • An interest in market research and/or entrepreneurship
  • Coursework in basic research methods (Ex: BA396, SOC416, or similar courses)
  • Experience with marketing or business plans
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to accept new opportunities and challenges as they arise

C2C Marketing Research Work-study Applications for 08-09 Academic school year:

This work study student will assist C2C by providing office support and conducting research. A variety of skills are needed and students with various backgrounds including design, research, marketing, entrepreneurship and engineering are encouraged to apply. This student may be asked to organize databases and spreadsheets, conduct secondary data research, help develop and design promotional materials and events, and assist in developing reports for business clients. Student will work 5-10 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible. $8.25/hour.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct secondary data research
  • Provide referral services to students, faculty and the community
  • Organize databases and spreadsheets
  • General office management
  • Maintain and update marketing research related resources
  • Assist in developing and writing reports for clients

Position Qualifications:

  • An interest in market research and/or entrepreneurship
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to accept new opportunities and challenges as they arise
  • Must be eligible for Federal Work Study
