OSCPA Educational Foundation Scholarships Awarded to 42 Oregon College Students

Beaverton, Ore. - The Oregon Society of CPAs (OSCPA) is pleased to announce that the following students from Oregon State University received scholarships through The OSCPA Educational Foundation:

Since 1985, The OSCPA Educational Foundation has supported Oregon students majoring in accounting through its scholarship program. To date, the Foundation has provided financial aid in excess of $1 million to more than 700 students. This year, the Foundation awarded $82,260 to 47 qualified candidates, including 42 college and five high school students. Established in 1908, the OSCPA is a professional association for Oregon CPAs with nearly 5,000 members. The OSCPA is the Oregon arm for "360 Degrees of Financial Literacy," a national campaign by CPAs to help Americans make better financial choices. Since October 2006, the OSCPA, in conjunction with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ad Council, has participated in the Feed the Pig™ campaign to promote Financial Literacy to Americans.
