During the summer the humidity in Hong Kong is about double that of Oregon, with temperatures in the nineties quite frequently. August and September usually mark the end of typhoon season in Hong Kong. Typhoons come in different strengths, numbering one through ten with ten being the strongest.
Other types of severe weather conditions include rainstorms, which are basically typhoons without the severe wind. Rainstorms are categorized by color. From least to most severe they are identified as Amber, Yellow, Red, and Black.
