Healthcare:
Be sure to talk to your health care provider before you leave for Hong Kong. Tell them that you are studying abroad in Hong Kong and for how long you're going. Ask if they recommend any shots or precautionary prescriptions. Typical recommendations are an up to date tetanus shot, hepatitis B, and a prescription to fight severe diarrhea.
If you are currently taking any prescription medications, check with your doctor about their availability to you while in Hong Kong. Chances are you'll have to purchase enough for your time abroad in advance and take them over with you.
Also be sure to contact your health insurance provider and inquire about health care coverage for you while you're overseas. |
