The MBA program design is based on three levels of course work that provide a broad-based, general business management education.

This curriculum is…

Built on a core of Foundation courses, which are

Extended with Advanced Management courses,

Culminating in a nine-month integrated business project.

Foundation courses, all offered at the undergraduate level, comprise the essential components of the background considered necessary to succeed in subsequent graduate-level courses.  Students who have not completed the Foundation courses prior to being enrolled in the MBA program may take the courses as fully-admitted MBA students.

The MBA Program consists of 45-credits of advanced management graduate coursework beyond the Foundation course work.  These Advanced Management Courses focus on practical applications of current business knowledge in solving business issues.

The cornerstone of the program is the Integrated Business Project (IBP), through which student teams complete a business plan as a means of charting and managing the growth of a business.   The IBP can be built around a new business (idea), an established company that does not yet have a business plan, or an established company whose business plan is ready for evaluation and updating.  To culminate this experiential learning process, teams may compete for cash prizes with industry executives, including venture capitalists, as judges.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of completing this MBA program, graduates will be able to create, build and manage innovative, socially responsible, and sustainable enterprises in a global business environment.

At the end of this program, graduates will be able to:

  • develop an investor-ready business plan,
  • present a compelling argument for funding,
  • formulate strategies to be competitive in an international business environment,
  • manage innovative and creative organizations, and
  • evaluate the implications of applying concepts of sustainability, ethics and social responsibility to managerial decisions.
