PIN - Fall 2008, Winter & Spring 2009 Registration

Registration PIN's for College of Business students only change once each year.   A new PIN is generated in early May.  That PIN is used for Fall, Winter and Spring term registration. The PIN will appear on your College of Business Advising Report.  Read the instructions below to learn how to get your PIN/Advising Report online.  The Advising Report is also your unofficial degree audit, so review it closely.  If you have questions or need help in getting your PIN/Advising Report, please stop by the Advising Office.

GETTING STARTED:  If you encounter problems accessing "My Office" please ask a lab assistant or see Information Services (Bexl 116).

To view your College of Business Advising Report:

  • Open your internet browser to the College of Business homepage.
  • Click on the "Student Services" tab, then SELECT "My Office" at the right top of the page.
  • Click on the "View your COB Advising Report" link.
  • Example: John Smith
User name: ONID\smithj
Password: *********

  • Enter your OSU Student ID number (begins with 930 or 931) and your date of birth.  This additional security measure protects the privacy of your academic information.
  • Your PIN is displayed at the top of the first double-line on the report.  Use the "current" PIN to register for the current term.  Use the "future" PIN to register for any future term.
  • If your PIN is "0" you may need to do one of the following:
    • Obtain your PIN from your Primary College if you are doing a Double Degree.
    • Declare your option through the Advising Office (applies to Juniors and Seniors only).
    • Schedule an appointment with your advisor.

Note:  Students participating in a National Student Exchange program may have a PIN of "0" and may need to meet with an academic advisor.

If you have declared your option, the information will appear on your Advising Report.  If you would like to discuss your report, please make an appointment with your advisor.

In the "Grade" column of the report, you may see the following codes:

  • CE -- Currently enrolled in the course
  • NX -- Enrolled in the course for the next term
  • Wv -- The requirement was waived.  For example, if you may completed a similar course at another institution, but the course articulated into OSU as a Lower Division Transfer (LDT).  Sometimes, we will waive that course requirement instead of adding that course to the articulation tables.
  • Sub -- A substitute course was completed.
  • ces -- currently enrolled in a course that will substitute to fulfill the requirement.
  • __ -- indicates that the course has not been completed
