How do I get into business classes?
All business classes are restricted to current business majors. In order for exchange students to register for courses, certain codes called "overrides" must be entered into the system before you can register for a business class.
-
If you have not yet arrived at OSU, the College of Business will enter in your override codes and register you for classes.
-
If you are here on campus, you need to schedule an appointment with a business advisor prior to the start of the registration period. During this meeting we will enter the override codes into the system for you which will give you access to the classes. It is very important for all continuing exchange students to follow through with this appointment BEFORE registration begins or you will not be able to get into your classes.
What about physical activity classes?
Physical Activity Classes (PAC) are offered every term at OSU. *Be aware that some PAC courses have extra fees that you will be expected to pay. PAC classes with fees can include the following classes: Bowling, Scuba Diving and Skiing. Check the course fees online to be sure that your PAC class does not have extra fees. Some of these fees can be quite expense, so check the fee before you register for the class.
I've signed up for a PAC class and I now want to drop it. How can I get the fee back? If you drop the class before the first day of the term, you will receive a full refund for PAC class fees. If you drop on the first day or later, you will not receive all of the fees back.
How do I change grades?
For classes outside of business, it might be possible to change your method of grading from a letter grade (A-F) to a Pass/No Pass grade. This grade has no effect on grade point average, and only indicates that you have passed the class. Changes are done at the Registrar's office by the end of the 7th week of classes.
When can I change my schedule?
Classes can be dropped the first two weeks of the term. No record appears on your transcript. After the 2nd week, you must "withdraw" from the class. A W will appear on your transcript. (The deadline to withdraw is Friday of week 7)
