Application Process
1. Request an application from your home school coordinator. You will receive an application packet which includes the following forms: a. Application for Admission international exchange student for current year b. TOEFL waiver form or TOEFL score (your home school knows which is required) c. On campus housing applications.
Do NOT download "international student" applications from the OSU web page. Those applications are for students seeking to complete a degree program at OSU, and not for exchange students.
2. Submit the following materials to your home school coordinator: a. Completed application form (which includes Proof of Finances form) b. TOEFL score or waiver (as required by your program) c. Transcripts d. Completed Housing application along with deposit IF required
Your school coordinator will send the documents to OSU College of Business. We then forward the documents onto the OSU Admissions Office (which enters all the data).
3. Your application materials are then sent to the Office of International Education who issues the DS 2019 forms which are needed to apply for your visas. These are mailed to the address indicated on your exchange application.
4. Our office issues Letters of Acceptance and sends them to your school coordinator to distribute to you.
Three different campus offices are involved in your admission process: College of Business, OSU Admissions, and the Office of International Education. The process outlined above must be followed in order. It is the fastest way to be admitted.
Jumping a step will NOT speed up the processing of your application. i.e. If the Admissions Office receives an application directly from you the student (instead of our offices), they will NOT process it. They will send it back to us. |
