South Africa: Cape Town Wineries
Work in the administration and marketing office of a South African wine label. Learn wine production from start to finish at a beautiful South African winery. South Africa has an abundance of wineries in and around Cape Town in the Western Cape Province. Cape wineries benefit from the region's Mediterranean climate and rapid growth of the industry since the fall of apartheid. Wineries range in size and market orientation (domestic or international). They are also a major tourist attraction in the region and many have tasting rooms and restaurants. Interns will be placed at a particular winery, based on the wineries' needs and ability to host an intern. Depending on their interests, interns may be involved either in the business management and marketing efforts of the winery or with viticulture and wine production.
