About Intrax:

Intrax Internships Abroad is a division of Intrax Cultural Exchange, a leader in work-based cultural exchange programs since 1980. Through a vast network of partnerships with host companies and universities within the U.S. and around the world, Intrax continues to provide students and young adults with dynamic exchange opportunities that inspire personal growth, mutual respect and cultural understanding.

 

Program Description:

Intrax Internships Abroad is a professional development program in which qualified students do business-oriented international internships with host companies in London, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin, and Tokyo. Students who are accepted into the program pay as they would for study abroad and receive a personalized internship match, Global Skills Training, housing, excursions, and have an on-site coordinator. Looking ahead to a challenging job market, international work experience can give participants an edge. On the website, individual internships are listed by function and by country.

 

In a competitive job market, students seek ways to differentiate themselves and gain international experience. Intrax Internships Abroad is a professional career development program that offers summer internships in major commercial centers around the world to help students become effective leaders in today’s global economy. For the summer of 2010, Intrax will select students from around the U.S. and Canada to join the program based on their background and language skills. Successful applicants will be placed in internships in London, Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona and Madrid. Interns will typically speak the local language in the workplace in most of the host countries except for Tokyo and Berlin, where they may work in English.

Qualifications:

Employment Begins: June 14, 2010

Employment Ends: August 6, 2010

Job Location: Multiple locations around the globe

Hours Per Week: Full-Time

Program Cost: $6,000 - $8,000 depending on location

Applicants are evaluated and accepted on a rolling admissions basis. Those accepted are guaranteed placement and will proceed on to the host company interview process to be matched with internships that meet their background

and career goals.
