Human Resources Employment Law Compliance Analyst/Consultant Deadline: Apply ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Eugene-based national company providing Human Resources and Employment Law Compliance products and services to healthcare practitioners throughout the United States is seeking a compliance analyst/consultant.

Prefer a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, five (5) years of human resources experience and PHR/SPHR certified.

Knowledge base should include competence with federal and state laws in the areas of concern routinely addressed by small employers such as family/medical/pregnancy leave requirements; FLSA and various wage & hour concerns; travel and training costs; rest and meal breaks; benefits administration; COBRA, ADA, PDA, ADEA, Title VII; Immigration Reform and Control Act; UI, etc.

Position requires the ability to discern which laws (state or federal or both) are applicable to the client given their location and number of employees and then explain the client's obligations in order to be in compliance with those laws. Applicant must also be able to provide guidance on basic HR-related issues such as attendance problems, interviewing techniques, disciplinary actions, termination meetings, employee communication, etc.

Excellent problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to be very flexible, think on your feet, and manage multiple tasks at once. The successful applicant will be self-confident, self-motivated, eager to learn, and team-oriented with a good attitude. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required.

Other desired skills: write articles for contribution to company newsletter and various other publication sources, conduct research to ascertain an in-depth understanding into the ever-changing laws and incorporate what has been learned into the applicable areas of the business, and the ability to effectively represent and promote the company's products and services.
