Job Description This person will be responsible for performing the following functions:
- Develop and maintain deep product knowledge - Interface between Support and Engineering, acting as Level 3 escalation support - Create small internal software tools to streamline Support processes - Document all customer interactions in CRM application - Develop, edit, test and approve knowledge base article content for known issues and best practices - Manage customers technical issue through and post go-live: - Product usage questions - Product defects(escalations to engineering) - Technical problems in customers environment - Work closely with Support, Engineering, Implementation Managers and others to improve the products feature set, usability and supportability
Interaction This position is a customer facing position and as such this individual will represent the voice of the customer in close interactions with several internal departments. We are a team-oriented environment and the incumbent must build and maintain strong and effective relationships with internal departments. Should also be independent enough to proactively identify issues in need of improvement and work with others to develop solutions.
Required Skills/Education - Effective and energetic problem-solver with strong technical aptitude and the ability to think strategically and creatively - Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills required - Must be able to interact effectively with all levels within the organization - Possess strong communication skills with the capability to express ideas and concepts in writing and verbally - Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Incumbents need to be able to effectively handle multiple simultaneous tasks/projects with limited supervision - BS in Engineering or Management Information Systems field a plus - Assertive, goal oriented, customer oriented, organized, independent thinker, team player - 3-5 years experience in a customer-facing, technical support or technical management position
Technical Experience - Software development experience to help isolate problems before escalating to engineering - Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server running IIS and ASP.NET - SQL 2000/2005/2008 - SQL, Stored Procedures, Views - Experience with any of the following languages: C#, VB.NET, PHP, Ruby, HTML, JavaScript, SQL - Network technologies including: routers, managed switches, firewalls and proxies
