The Great
Green March is looking for a Website Developer who shares our passion. This
position will be an integral part of the core development team. The Great Green
March will be mobilizing five hundred citizen-marchers to walk, cycle, blog,
and drive alt-fuel vehicles across the USA . We will be holding a
nation-wide conversation on sustainability along the way, and create measurable
change through action, interaction, education and entertainment; affecting
individuals, organizations, corporations, local and world governments. The
planned launch date for the march is June 2010.
The
final-phase of our website will be a fully integrated, social networking,
facebook connected, live video blogging, interactive maps, web 2.0 experience
website.
As the
web developer you should be experienced with one or more of the following
areas:
* Web / graphic design
* Drupal administration
* Social networking platforms
* CSS
* Drupal development
* Javascript
* PHP
* mySQL
The Web
developer will work directly with the project manager toward building the
various phases of our social networking site.
It is the
projects intention to pay for past volunteer hours once funding is secured.
