Human Resource Manager – Deadline: Apply ASAP

PURPOSE:

The Human Resource Manager provides professional human resource services and consultation to assigned campus/location/business unit. Specific responsibilities include HR policy and procedure interpretation, recruitment, caregiver activities, caregiver and labor relations, and caregiver and management training. Will collect and analyze HR data, handle basic and complex caregiver relations or labor relations issues making the appropriate legal and business decisions, and facilitate coaching and counseling to managers and other caregivers as needed

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintains an in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques and demonstrates knowledge in accordance with policies and procedures within pertinent laws and regulations in the following areas:

· Act as an internal resource for managers and caregivers in all HR related matters for assigned campus/location/business unit.

· Quickly establish and maintain credibility with managers and employees and be viewed as a trusted resource.

· Partner with other HR team members within the organization to develop and implement key strategies and initiatives to meet business objectives.

· Work with managers/caregivers to resolve employee relations issues in a timely manner.

· Establish and maintain close contact with all employee groups to monitor concerns in a proactive manner.

· Manage the entire recruiting process and assist management in workforce planning.

· Provide coaching, training and leadership development.

· Conduct investigations, manage the grievance process and provide recommendations for next steps.

· Provide direction and counsel to ensure the consistent application and use of policies, practices, and/or contract language to ensure all departments maintain compliance with applicable federal, labor and state laws.

· Participates and/or manages HR projects as needed.

· Participates in campus/location/business unit leadership team.

· Performs other related work as directed by immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field; or combination of education and equivalent work experience can be substituted for bachelor's degree.

· Registration: SPHR/PHR certification through SHRM preferred.

· Experience: Minimum 5 years in a professional/managerial generalist role within a human resource department serving a diverse population, preferably in healthcare.

· Demonstrated excellent analytical/problem solving skills with a diverse population, ability to make sound, quick, critical judgments based on information gathered in sensitive employee relations issues.

· Excellent communication skills within a team environment and on an individual level with employees.

· Advanced knowledge of FLSA, BOLI, wage and hour laws, ADA, EEOC, and other applicable federal, state and labor laws.

· Excellent customer service and teamwork skills required.

· Excellent organizational and prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

· Experience presenting to small and large groups.
