PDX Fall 2009 "Big 5" Recruiting Calendar and Guidelines

Perkins fall recruiting event, Sept. 18

KPMG will be hosting a free recruiting prep work shop, open to all accounting students coming through fall recruiting, on Monday, September 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. This is an information session, in response to a number of requests, aimed at helping students prepare for the application, recruiting and interview process this fall. This is open to all students interested in the Public Accounting Industry, not just Big 4, and we'll stay until all questions have been answered. This is NOT a recruiting event, and we will not be discussing firm specific information. Students are welcome to attend in casual attire. This is purely an opportunity for students to ask questions and advice, and to gain a better understanding of what to expect this fall. Space is limited to approximately 75 participants, RSVP to the KPMG Recruiting mailbox at us-porcampusrecruit@kpmg.com with name, school, and primary area of interest (ie, resume assistance, interview prep, networking at events, etc.) so that we can target this presentation to the attendees. Agenda:
Getting Started in the Process
Reflecting on Your Experience and Skills
The Importance of a Strong Résumé
Standing out in a Crowd
The Campus Interview
The Office Visit
Panel of Students Who Participated in Recruiting Last Fall
Closing
