Become a Candidate
To qualify as a Beta Alpha Psi candidate you must:
Complete and return the Beta Alpha Psi Candidacy Application
Complete or be currently enrolled in BA211 and BA213 or equivalent
Have sophomore or higher class standing
Meet at least one of the following GPA requirements:
  • GPA of at least 3.0 in all completed accounting courses (including BA211 and BA213 or equivalent)
  • Cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Rank within the top 35% of class
  • Have at least 3.25 GPA on the most recent 45 credit hours (or equivalent) completed


Serve a Candidacy
To seek membership you must:
Serve as a candidate for at least one term, which includes:
  • Attending all Beta Alpha Psi meetings and functions
  • Tutor for Beta Alpha Psi for at least one hour per week
  • Participate in at least one Beta Alpha Psi community service event
Complete 40 Beta Alpha Psi hours
Pay a one-time candidacy fee of $45

Maintain Membership
To qualify as a member you must:
Have been a candidate (described above)
Have a formally declared option in accounting
Have completed at least one 300-level accounting course
Have a GPA of at least 3.0 in all upper-division accounting courses
Meet at least one of the following:
  • GPA of at least 3.0 in all completed accounting courses (including BA211 and BA213 or equivalent)
  • Cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Rank within the top 35% of class
  • Have at least 3.25 GPA on the most recent 45 credit hours (or equivalent) completed
