WINTER CAREER SYMPOSIUM

Made possible in part by support from Target, JELD-WEN & Progressive Insurance
Sponsored by Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity

Friday January 25, 2008
10:30am - 4:00pm
Memorial Union 2nd Floor

Last session begins at 2:30pm

The Winter Business Career Symposium provides an opportunity for students to learn from College of Business alumni about career options and opportunities specific toparticular business majors.

This year's symposium will include two simultaneous panel discussions among the current COB option/major areas (Accounting, Finance, MIS, Management, Marketing, International Business and Entrepreneurship). Each session begins with a panelist giving a short introduction about their career, steps they took to get where they are and a bit about the organization they are currently working for. Each panelist has an opportunity to speak (there are typically 4-5 alumni from each major/option). The remainder of the session is filled with student questions.

This is not a recruiting fair, but a chance for alumni to describe their company, job responsibilities, and field questions to educatestudents on future potential career opportunities.

Door prize drawings will take place February 1, 2008 and winners will be notified by phone or COB/ONID email. Winners' names will also be posted on the door to 214 Bexell Hall.
